Ricardo Miranda

Ricardo Miranda is a translational genomics researcher and serves as Chief Executive Officer of MTHFR Doctors LLC, with nearly three decades of experience in genetics and molecular-testing interpretation.

His current research focus is the interpretation of low-abundance molecular signals in circulating cell-free and circulating tumor DNA. He leads a research program addressing sequencing quality assessment, variant analysis in low-frequency settings, and the longitudinal interpretation of ctDNA measurements, with attention to false-positive behavior. This work is at a preclinical, research-use stage and is not a diagnostic product.

His earlier work centered on methylation biology, MTHFR variants, and the interpretation of complex molecular data. He continues to provide education to healthcare professionals across the country in methylation biology, and that background informs his current focus on how biologically complex genomic information can be interpreted.
